Karaoke Kiosk
The sign-up sheet that keeps the rotation fair.
Karaoke Kiosk is a fair-rotation sign-up and queue manager for karaoke hosts running KaraFun. Singers add themselves on the venue tablet; the kiosk keeps track of whose turn it actually is.
What it does
-
01
Fair per singer, not per phone
The rotation follows people, not devices. Nobody gets a second song before everyone waiting has had a first one — including the table of five signing up from one phone.
-
02
No smartphone required
Anyone can sign themselves up right at the tablet. No app to install, no QR code to scan, no borrowing a friend's phone to get in the queue.
-
03
Retires the sheet and the binders
One screen instead of a clipboard, a pen that walks off, and three song binders stuck at the far table all night.
Where this is at
This is a proof of concept. It runs at one venue, on one host's night — mine — and it is built around how that room actually works.
If you open the kiosk from here, you are looking at the same screen the singers use at the bar.
